Your role
  • You support the development of our Bioinformatics roadmap striving to transfer data from new research technologies towards new therapies.
  • As part of the R&D department, you lead a team of bioinformaticians and support the interaction to other departments and key persons for project success, i.e. clinical development, engineering and marketing.
  • You develop new methods and algorithms in collaboration with an international network and with our R&D members and software engineers for the analysis of high content type of data, such as single cell sequencing, microscopy, and flow cytometry.
  • You establish and maintain databases for biomarker discovery and functional interpretation and serve as an expert in selecting the right and innovative statistical methods for data analysis and experimental design.
Your profile
  • You have successfully finished an academic education in computer science, natural sciences (e.g. Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or similar.
  • You have profound experience in programming (e.g. R, Python, C++) and statistics applied to life sciences.
  • You have proven competences in the development of biological classifiers and algorithm and database construction.
  • You bring along a sound experience in leading a group of bioinformaticians.
  • Knowledge in immunology / cancer biology and cell biology are necessary.
  • Experience with working on Phase I- IV study trials is advantageous.
  • You are an excellent communicator on all levels.
