YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a (Lead) Backend Developer at Lendico, you will work on the core of our modern microservice-based banking system. Its key aspects like loan and investment management, payment processing, transaction handling of volumes of millions of euros, and integration with various internal and external APIs will be part of your daily work in the team.

Together with your team you will:
  • Design, build and test new features and services in our system from the ground up
  • Ensure fast and efficient delivery of your team’s projects in alignment with the team lead and business stakeholders
  • Drive implementation of technical best practices in your team
  • Contribute to cross-team architectural discussions
  • Ensure high code quality standards by performing code reviews and pair programming
  • Maintain and improve the overall architecture of our existing system
  • Work on transactional services around payments and accounting
YOUR PROFILE

  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to come up with new and innovative ideas and solutions
  • Very good communication skills to guide and mentor diverse people in an international team
  • Experience in software development with Java 8 and the Spring Framework
  • Knowledge of the JVM and common tools like Maven
  • Experience with TDD, unit and integration tests (JUnit)
  • Strong experience with distributed systems and RESTful services
  • Practical experience with building microservices
Either one of the following is a nice to have:
  • Prior experience in a FinTech company, working on accounting and payment (SEPA) related topics
  • Knowledge of other languages like JavaScript (node.js) or
