Junior/Senior Firmware Developer (d / m / f)

Up to €75,000

(Villingen-Schwenningen area, Germany)

Based near the beautiful Schwarzwald, an internationally pioneering company is offering an unparalleled Firmware Developer role to join their 100-strong development team.

At the epitome of the Security and Smart IoT Solutions field, this company develops highly intricate and innovative products for a wide range of industries (Automotive, Security, Consumer Electronics etc.). During this exciting time, they urgently require two Firmware Developers who also have experience in high-level languages, to utilize their specialist skills and fuel the progression of the product and company.

Responsibilities

  • Development of applications onto Embedded Linux systems
  • Development and implementation of software architectures and concepts
  • Research and prototype new tools/tech, with the end goal of course being implementation
  • Firmware architecture design and development
  • Work alongside the Chief Hardware Architect, potentially also in the field of CyberSecurity

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Obtained a degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Experience working in an Embedded Linux environment
  • High proficiency in OO-C++
  • Experience with build systems such as YOCTO, Buildroot etc.
  • Good understanding of Microcontrollers (ARM)
  • Experience in Qt, GIT, CI, Shell Scripting is a bonus
  • Experience working with RFID and peripherals (SPI, UART, I2C etc.) is a bonus
  • Algorithm Development is also a bonus
  • Fluent in German
