Aufgaben
Mercedes-Benz Mobility AG is a business unit of Mercedes-Benz Group AG and, with around 10,000 employees, specializes in financial and mobility services. The offering ranges from financing, leasing, vehicle subscriptions and rentals, fleet management to digital services related to charging and payment, insurance brokerage and innovative mobility services.
Mercedes-Benz Mobility will again focus on the 5 strategic dimensions of Mercedes-Benz Mobility (MBM) 2025, one of which is Electrify our future. On the way to "electric only", charging is a crucial factor. That is why we as a company are taking a consistent step forward: we are building a Mercedes-Benz high-performance charging network. We want charging at Mercedes-Benz to become a special customer experience. In order to build this holistic charging ecosystem as quickly as possible, we are establishing a new Charging Unit at MBM that consists of three pillars: charging in public, at home and in the business sector.
Our "Charging Solutions" unit is internationally responsible for the development and support of innovative customer solutions around the topic of "charging in/and outside the vehicle" in the clusters "Charging@Home", "Charging@Public", "Charging@Company/Depot".
As a strong team, we are responsible for the successful implementation of our topics and thus make a valuable contribution to our "Electric-Only" strategy pillar on a daily basis. To achieve this, we work closely together across teams and departments - within the Charging Unit at MBM, but also with our colleagues in Sales, Development and IT. Our way of working is strongly oriented towards an agile swarm logic and thrives on a high degree of flexibility and mutual support - even across team, division and department boundaries.
A "cooperative partnership" and "individual ownership" are crucial for us. As are the highest standards for the results of our work, the "joy of constructive discourse" in the interest of the best solution. Without personal sensitivities, but with the clear ambition to "think and jump ahead courageously".
We regularly use mobile working in the hybrid model. We take part in internal and external specialist events to keep abreast of where the market and we currently stand.
Electromobility meets cybersecurity
Charging electric vehicles should be convenient and fast. Various digital technologies are used to make this possible. Cybersecurity plays an important role here. Charging stations, charging protocols, and cloud-based charging services must be designed robustly and implemented securely so that they can withstand possible hacker attacks, protect users’ private data, and do not pose a risk to the critical energy infrastructure. To this end, we work with our partners to develop solutions that are secured with state-of-the-art cybersecurity mechanisms, taking into account international standards.
Your tasks are among others:
As a (Security) IT-Architect in the Charging Unit of Mercedes-Benz Mobility, you will ensure the protection of complex subsystems of MBM’s own charging ecosystem (wallboxes, charging parks, charging services and the underlying backends) against attacks throughout the entire lifecycle.
- To this end, you coordinate the protection goals with system managers and project managers, analyze the interfaces of these complex systems, identify threats and assess risks
- You define and specify suitable security concepts, coordinate these with system managers and project managers against the background of different interests, and ensure that these concepts are implemented.
- You plan and control complex tests in the form of security reviews, code analyses, and penetration tests to verify the level of protection of these subsystems
- You also define and coordinate, in particular, the intensive cooperation with external partners that is usually necessary in this context
- You ensure that our security processes, methods and technologies are always state of the art
- You are embedded in a cross-functional group of ISAs/ISOs within Mercedes-Benz Mobility
In addition, you will be part of a Mercedes-Benz-wide team of security architects, particularly from passenger car development, who design the Mercedes-Benz charging experience securely according to state-of-the-art aspects and with an end-to-end requirement.
Qualifikationen
Ideally you bring the following with you:
- Completed studies in computer science or a comparable field of study.
- Several years of professional experience in the context of cyber security, ideally in the context of store or industrial control systems (ICS)
- Experience in creating threat and risk analyses and deriving resulting system requirements
- Experience in the secure design of industrial PCs as well as their secure connection to cloud backends
- Recognized certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, TISP, TPSSE are desirable - there is also the opportunity to complete these as part of the onboarding process
- Knowledge of charging ecosystem architecture is a plus but not a requirement
- Business fluent German and English language skills
- Very good analytical skills
- Distinct ability to work in a team
- Enjoying creative design and contributing own ideas in an organizationally distributed and VUCA environment
