As Industry Champion Industrials & Chemicals you are the go-to person within the European region for the strategic development of key accounts within the Industrials & Chemicals industry.
Your Role

The industrial sector is growing more diverse and complex, handling everything from raw materials, chemicals and special materials up to highly sophisticated components and large machinery. In this role you have the chance to join a well-established business and keep us on track with our ambitious goals. You will be responsible for adapting and implementing the global key account strategy within Europe. In close alignment and collaboration with our national Key Account Management as well as the Business Units Sea Logistics, Air Logistics and Road Logistics you will be driving the business and organizational development of the vertical for key accounts within the region as well as cross-regional.
Your Responsibilities
  • Adapt and implement the global vertical strategy on regional/national level in close alignment with regional/national sales management / BUs
  • Advise on portfolio planning and optimization as well as verticalization within the region and secure a sufficient vertical pipeline with high data quality
  • Coach, mentor and develop GKAMs of the vertical within the region and support them in strategic tenders and escalation management
  • Support the development of industry value propositions incl. innovative services and products and develop related solutions with relevant internal parties
  • Control the vertical performance for key accounts within the region and initiate as well as support corrective actions
  • Build internal and external industry network relations and represent Kuehne+Nagel
  • Promote knowledge sharing and management within the account management

Your Skills And Experiences
  • Successfully completed academic degree, ideally with a focus on logistics
  • Profound experience in Key Account Management within freight forwarding (Sea Logistics, Air Logistics, Road Logistics)
  • Extensive experience within the Industrials & Chemicals sector
  • Strong organizational and management (people, processes, and projects) skills
  • Strong business development capability and analytical skills
  • High customer orientation and strong communication skills for various hierarchical levels and interest groups
  • Business fluent in English, German language skills is a plus
  • Willingness to travel within Europe
