Division

To strengthen the tax department at HQ, SD Worx is looking for an Indirect Tax Manager. Although headquartered in Antwerp (Belgium), the tax team will consist of four specialist (with their own area expertise) with the possibility to work from their own location.

The tax department works closely together with the different local and HQ finance departments.

The Indirect Tax Manager will report directly to the General Tax Manager.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide VAT advice on (cross border) business projects;
• Provide day to day VAT advice to different internal departments;
• Monitor VAT compliance prepared by the local accounting teams and provide ad hoc support;
• Manage VAT audits;
• Liaise with external VAT advisors;
• Map VAT processes and identify areas for improvement;
• Optimization of global VAT cost, cash and working capital impact;
• Provide assistance with the tax technology aspects of the VAT setup in SAP (S4H);
• Follow-up and implement changes in local and European VAT legislation;
• Perform VAT health checks;
• Provide VAT trainings to internal departments;
• Support in local direct tax compliancy and first line tax advice on German corporate income tax.

Your Qualifications

• Master degree in Economics or Law with a specialization in Tax (or equivalent by experience);
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in VAT (preferably in a BIG4 or international environment);
• Knowledge of German Corporate Income Tax;
• Profound analytical skills & a technical mind, well organized and good attention to details;
• Professional English language skills (oral and written) in order to fulfill internal requirements. Good knowledge of German language is an asset;
• Good communication skills
• Team player with ability to work autonomous in a customer-driven and results oriented environment
• Entrepreneurial talent wanting to take total ownership regarding scope, content and quality.
