Your challenges

  • Act as a trusted advisor to SVP Bioprocess Unit , providing relevant data, analysis and insights to support business de c ision s
  • Define and deliver strategi c and operational controlling and finan c ial proe c sses , enfor c ing pro c ess timelines and ensuring output quality and c onsisteney
  • Define and tra c k KPls to measure performan c e in collaboration with business leads
  • Define standard poli c ies and approa c hes for management reporting, managed and maintained within a global reporting manual (spanning allo c ation keys, standard definitions of terms, c al c ulation rules, etc.) in alignment with Eppendorf group guidelines
  • Define key Finan c e and Controlling-related proeesses , including strategic mid-term plans (MTP) , fore c ast and budget - including templates, timelines and major review points with SVP BP
  • Review and challenge all submissions to finance and controlling processes , ensuring that consistency and minimum standards are met or exceeded
  • Preparation of consolidated findings for key engagements with the SVP BP , including performance review, budget and MTP
  • Define management reporting across the Unit including ownership for the reporting manual with definitions of key measures and allocation rules that are consistently applied across the organization
  • Set and monitor KPI ‘ s for the Unit to a ss ess performance , identify issues and suggest corrective action
  • Manage people including d efinition of positions, role profiles and requirements as well as s et ting annual targets, assess performance and allo c ate responsibilities

Your expertise

  • Master’s degree or equivalent education in Business Administration, A ccounting, Finance or related field
  • 10+ years of profound experience as Controller or in Finance environment for a major company or division of a large corporation
  • Experience working with and advising senior management teams, representing analysis and recommendations
  • Outstanding and concise verbal and written communication in English
  • Understanding how business processes and the Finance / Controlling department support the business and its processes
  • Accomplished leader and good business partnering skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to network effectively and establish good working relationships
  • Results driven, good analytical capabilities
  • Willingness to travel and ability to understand and work in culturally different markets
