Golang Backend Software Engineer (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Golang Backend Engineer to join our R&D Team and help us build and extend our capabilities for software development, digital distribution and deployment automation. These tools are used as a part of many phases of our product development life cycle for development, test, and integration, as well as in our customers on-premise installations, during operation of our product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Your goal is to extend and improve the existing toolchain in order to build, test and ultimately distribute our products
• Improve the overall developer experience by enabling fast feedback loops and provide a positive impact to the engineering community of Exasol, as well as to the end customers by enabling frictionless deployments
• Integrate the tools with our internal services, event bus and 3rd-party APIs
• Participate in code reviews for your team and other teams
• Create technical designs and build POCs for new efforts
• Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

Your Profile:

• You have hands-on experience with Golang and ideally have Python and functional programming experience
• You love working in a Linux environment and are proficient with Linux shell scripting
• You have practical experience with design patterns, design principles, software architecture, algorithms and automated tests (unit, integration and functional)
• You have experience with CI/CD, automation tools and with distribution processes
• You are comfortable with cloud technologies, including AWS (CloudFormation, EC2, AWS Lambda), Azure and/or GCP
• You are experienced with Event Driven Architecture
• You have very good written and spoken English skills. German language skills are a plus but not essential
