The DHL Supply Chain (DSC) Global Chief Development Office (CDO) is one of the organizational pillars of the DHL Supply Chain Division, whose main focus is to accelerate the growth of our business. Your key accountabilities include:

  • Provides superior, skilled facilitation of senior-level executives to solve complex issues
  • Responsible for ensuring the people and processes are in place to manage project scope, deliverables, resources, risk is identified and mitigated, and change impact is addressed at both a project and portfolio level.
  • Develop and maintain the vision, direction, framework and responsibilities of the PMO and supporting Project Management team members
  • Work with key client and agency stakeholders, to develop and instill processes, workflows and tools that support the effective delivery of integrated work. Contribute to a culture of delivery efficiency and excellence across disciplines with direct reports in the Global Strategy & Programs Chief Development Office.
  • Lead the team through scoping, staffing and management of multiple, concurrent workstreams, and large scale projects
  • Maintain and enforce high standards of communications and documentation, including status and financial reports, timelines, scopes, best practices and asset management.
  • Proactively manage, provide guidance, and develop clear communication standards around program and business-related risks, including mitigation planning and crisis management
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously optimize existing operational processes and systems, ensuring buy-in and compliance throughout
  • Assist in the defining and delivery of the CDO Strategy and priorities roadmap in cooperation with CDO and other strategic partners to deliver ambitious growth targets, while creating a culture of diversity and customer-centricity
  • Facilitates the design, alignment, execution and enablement of CDO strategies, fostering partnerships & collaborative ways of working both within the Global CDO organization and across the extended CDO community
  • Leads select cross-functional, sector, solution & geographical Global CDO strategies & programs from concept to delivery
  • Stimulates ambition, fosters collaboration, instils customer-centricity, orchestrates connectivity and empowers change across CDO and internal/external partners by being a valued, strategic partner that fosters and facilitates a culture of collaboration, connectivity and collective, shared success for DSC and our customers.
  • Ensures effective & efficient strategy and program governance within CDO
  • Develops, prioritizes and submits program plans and methodologies across a range of key workstreams (e.g. measurement, training, regional rollout planning, etc.)
  • Leads prioritization of actions & workstreams, reviews program management, monitors progress and status and regularly presents in weekly team calls, Steering Committees, Business Review Meetings (BRM), with senior stakeholders
  • Manage experienced professionals without formal reporting line
  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with business leaders across DHL, especially within program context - regional sales, marketing, sales efficiency, strategy, program deployment leads and other functions, program leadership, Steering Committees, and functional partners within and outside of CDO

What are we looking for from you?


Essential

  • Superior communication skills, (written and verbal) - ability to comfortably and succinctly present to a diverse set of senior leadership team members internally and client-side - essential
  • Networking and interpersonal skills: highly refined, positive internal working relationships at all levels and within all departments, including ability to inspire, coach and influence colleagues at all levels of the organization through influence.
  • Strong strategic, financial, business, operations and analytical acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field

Beneficial

  • Proven working experience in a large, matrixed organization, leading senior cross-functional stakeholders including sales, marketing, sectors, products, sales operations, operations, finance, and Human Resources
  • Professional project management certification (e.g. PMI, PMP)
  • Previous experience within supply chain
  • Experience in sales, marketing and logistics
  • MBA or equivalent preferred- is this necessary if we have the above?
