What to Expect
The Finance Intern is responsible for complex daily work within a wide range of financial disciplines relating to production across the site. The intern supports day-to-day operations by performing SOX Controls and supporting education of operations; analysis of financial reports and investigation into anomalies; doing so by working closely with Analysts and Controllers to implement process improvement and automation. They will have exposure to a growing, highly experienced team, excited about the industry and our role within the new factory. This role will also focus on inventory projects. The Finance Intern is responsible for complex daily work within a wide range of financial disciplines relating to production across the site. The intern supports day-to-day operations by performing SOX Controls and supporting education of operations; analysis of financial reports and investigation into anomalies; doing so by working closely with Analysts and Controllers to implement process improvement and automation. They will have exposure to a growing, highly experienced team, excited about the industry and our role within the new factory. This role will also focus on inventory projects.
- Learn about SOX Controls – their intent and importance in the business
- Exposure to performance of SOX Controls and how the results can be used to improve the business through cross functional education
- Develop knowledge of business processes; design/improvement, implementation, and review
- Experience in preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly financials and operational reporting
- Gain an understanding of US GAAP and German GAAP, and what they mean to the manufacturing industry
- Build upon communication skills and learn how to develop successful working relationships – cross functionally, with management and across team members
- Learn how to perform flux and variance analysis, and investigate anomalies
- Understand the importance of finance in the manufacturing industry
- Studying towards or recently graduated from a degree in finance, supply chain management, economy, or related
- Very good knowledge of English & some knowledge of German (B2 level); both written and spoken
- First internship/work experience related to inventory & financial processes is considered a BIG plus
- Good knowledge in the use of common MS Office applications, advanced skills in excel (pivot tables and formulas) and Power BI (or appetite to learn quickly)
- Ability to analyse problems and find solutions in a structured manner
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving oriented
- Ability to work in a team as well as in an organized and independent manner
- Ability to keep an overview and proactively improve processes
