Job Description

It’s time to change. Instagrid’s battery technology is inherently contributing to net zero targets by decarbonizing energy supply, but this is not enough for us. We want to make an impact on many other UN Sustainable Development Goals!

Join as an Environmental Manager (f(m/d) to reduce negative impacts of instagrids business activities and strengthen activities with a positive environmental impact.

On our quest to become the world’s most innovative company for battery technology you make sure that we also generate impact for planet & people by
  • developing our product LCA further and implementing projects that help to reduce our environmental impact.
  • developing a company carbon footprint.
  • evolving a recycling concept and strategy correlating with our business model.
  • contributing to instagrids reporting, covering the issues of energy and waste and developing appropriate KPIs.
  • assessing the added value of ecolabels and certifications for instagrids products.
  • contributing to the overall development of instagrids sustainability strategy.
Requirements
  • You have a degree in business, communication, environmental sciences or equivalent with a focus on sustainability/ESG.
  • You have 3+ years of relevant experience in environmental management and a technical background.
  • You know frameworks to assess environmental impacts e.g. LCA, circularity.
  • You have experience in project development and implementation, and you are confident in developing KPIs.
  • You are a strategic thinker and has the ability connect own tasks to an overarching goal by shaping work and prioritizing correspondently.
  • You have fluent language skills in both, English and German.
