Director CP&PM – Corporate ReportingPurpose & Overall Relevance For The Organisation
The Corporate Controlling function plays an integral part in the financial steering of the company. It includes all aspects of management reporting, financial planning, budgeting and performance management on a company level. The analyses and reports provide transparency to the Executive Board and drive both operational and strategic decision making and resource allocation across our Global Sales (markets and channels) and Global Brands (product categories and marketing) matrix organization.
The Director CP&PM - Corporate Reporting is a critical managerial position in the finance organization reporting directly into the Senior Director CP&PM - Corporate Reporting. He/she will be actively involved in the development & regular execution of Board-level reporting and is key to creating meaningful insights for the Board with the incorporation of analytics. Key stakeholders and regular interaction partners include VP Corporate Planning & Performance Management, SVP Corporate Controlling, central finance functions (esp. heads of Accounting, Investor Relations, Corporate Strategy, etc.) as well as Market Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the Company’s financial reporting process to enable fact-based and efficient decision-making by providing accurate and comprehensive financial insights to the Executive Board and Senior Management in a timely and consistent manner
- Define deliverables for internal and external reporting and lead the configuration and presentation of the Company results according to Senior Management requirements and service-level agreements
- Steer all reporting relevant month-end closing activities, special projects, and ad hoc requests by analyzing, consulting, and creating transparency
- Guide Controllers on Company reporting processes by identifying, sharing, and fostering best practices and implementing sustainable conceptual and technical solutions applicable across the board
- Take ownership for the development and further improvement of reporting processes and ensure harmonization/standardization and cross-departmental cooperation and alignment
- Provide meaningful insights, especially regarding gross margin & OPEX developments. Continuously improve analytical capabilities & evaluate effectiveness of analytical tools within his/her team.
- Assume full responsibility for complex projects with impact on reporting landscape, deep impact on the finance reporting processes and cross-departmental finance organization
- Prepare and define financial reporting policies and guidelines (e. g. KPI definition, budget manual)
- Lead and develop team members by setting priorities and performance objectives, providing feedback, and implementing an individual training plan
- Create an environment that enables and motivates team members to perform to their maximum potential and maintaining strong team spirit

- HQ Controllers (FP&A managers and Brand/Market/Functions Controllers) for liaising, information interchange and alignment
- Group Accounting
- Shared Service Center (GBS)
- Data & Analytics Team
- Corporate Finance background and extensive experience with analysis of Financial Data (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow metrics)
- Deep understanding of the interactions and dynamics within an international business environment
- High degree of stakeholder orientation and ability to prioritize accordingly
- Excellent analytical skills to analyze complex issues and lead improvement/ define entire systems, process, and techniques
- Strong ability to draw to-the-point conclusions and recommendations
- Strong people management skills, ability to coach, guide and develop a team
- Strong business acumen and comprehensive understanding of internal processes
- Result oriented and high level of pro-activity
- Experience with SAP and BI tools
- Advanced degree or qualification in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting
- 8+ years’ experience in Reporting / Controlling / Accounting in a multinational company
- Fluency in English mandatory
- Track record of outstanding performance in education and career
