Client & Channel Engagement Manager

What will you do in this position
Microchip is a global market leader in both semiconductor and discrete components as well as complete systems for server storage, frequency and time synchronisation, power-over-ethernet mid-spans and switches. Reporting to the Senior Regional Channel Manager of our CIS EMEA group (Communications, Infrastructure and Services), you will be part of Microchip’s European sales and field applications team responsible for the systems business across EMEA. As a Client & Channel Engagement Manager (Central Territory) you will be responsible for driving sales growth in your territory for the systems-level products as well as other Microchip products of interest.

As Client & Channel Engagement Manager (CEM - Microchip’s term for Sales Engineer) you will play a key role in supporting and achieving the customer support and growth objectives for the EMEA region. This position will expose you to all levels of client engagement within the channel sales model and will also allow you the opportunity to grow your skills and product knowledge to cover all Microchip products and client channels.
- More details on the expectations and responsibilities in this position:
- Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting, expanding customer base, building & maintaining relationships with our distributors in region.
- Drive in-territory sales & distribution / channel POS (point-of-sale billings) by developing channel partners and revenue growth for all CIS products.
- Manage distributor orders & inventory
- Manage and improve reseller network in the territory
- Maintain strong mindshare through regular visits and training of client sales, product management and technical staff of both direct clients and channel partners
- Develop new accounts/segments in support of sales growth
- Regularly review top 20 partner pricing to ensure Microchip remains competitive whilst maintaining margin
- Support in-territory channel marketing activities in collaboration with associated Microchip departments
- Drive NPI (New Product Introduction) programmes
- Participate at customer/partner events as well as corporate events.
- Accomplish sales and organization mission by successfully completing associated team as well as company goals and objectives
- Collaborate with the larger Microchip sales and applications community concerning client and product engagement

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree is business or engineering preferred
- Minimum 7 years’ experience working in the channel, preferably with strong storage & networking experience
