What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for an Automotive Hardware Application Engineer to complement our team. Candidates will be responsible for all technical aspects of supporting customers with NVIDIA DRIVE technologies for Autonomous driving systems. This will involve supporting customers from pre-sales activities through design to manufacturing, production and sustaining, and responding to all technical inquiries in a professional and proficient manner.
The successful candidate should be a self-motivated individual who is capable of prioritizing multiple customer issues simultaneously and have good communication skills. At the same time, you must be able to understand team priority and be a phenomenal teammate. We are looking for your expertise in Automotive design to complement our team. This is a summary of the role:
Be an industry inspiring leader on integrating NVIDIA technologies like DRIVE Platforms and AI into vehicles
Working with customers to develop groundbreaking & new technologies through Proof of Concepts and design, all the way through productizing it
Building close technical relationships with customers & partners
Working with worldwide teams to lead technical activities and customer support
Training customers on new NVIDIA technologies through hands-on workshops
Leading customer design with NVIDIA’s advanced Automotive and AI technologies
Taking an active role in assessing the technical details of customer projects
Reviewing Schematic and Board Layout
Supporting customer design bring-ups
Diagnosing problems with customer designs and solving customer issues
To represent the customer from a technical viewpoint facing internal development teams
Developing technical support materials including customer specific documentation
What we need to see:
BS+ or equivalent experience in EE/CE engineering field and 3 plus years of experience
Knowledge on processor/SoC interfaces (e.g. USB, SPI, UART, I2C, I2S) and memory subsystem design, both at an electrical and protocol-level
Understand system level thermal and mechanical design such as liquid cooling and air cooling
Proficient with reading and navigating through hardware design collateral such as schematics, layout, and 3D files
Experience with hardware debugging skills and proficient with using high speed scopes and logic analyzers
Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as a customer service demeanor
Possess good organizational skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization skills
Can-do attitude and able to work with minimum supervision
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Exposure and experience in Automotive and or Embedded Systems
Expertise with PCB design/bring-up or FPGA development
Experience with embedded low-level firmware and/or knowledge of embedded operating systems
Prior experience with writing user documentation or specifications
Prior experience as a system level Hardware Application Engineer
