II-VI GmbH, headquartered in Weiterstadt, Germany, is a company within the Coherent Group. We distribute products with about 50 employees in Germany and sales offices in England, Italy and Belgium.

Job Description

  • Leading intercompany reconciliation process with intercompany partner during month-end closure process
  • Manage transfer prices with intercompany partners within the group
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts, especially Goods receipt/Invoice receipt
  • Acting as interface with logistic and purchase department regarding all (financial) issues with purchase orders and goods receipt
  • Supporting internal audit processes (ensuring that general ledger accounts tie to subledger accounts at month end and collecting documents ad-hoc)
  • Leading vendor creation process in ERP for the sales office
  • Intra-month Cash forecast for various bank accounts of the sales office
  • Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Support with year-end tax returns (CIT and VAT) for the branch offices in Germany, Italy and Belgium
  • Preparing and submitting preliminary VAT declarations for the branch offices in Germany, Italy and Belgium
  • Preparing and submitting Statistical reports in Germany (ZM reports, Z4, Z5 and K4 reports)
  • Self-reliant triggers process improvements in areas of charge after coordination with manager

Qualification

  • Successfully completed commercial education (vocational training, university degree or similar)
  • Min 3 years working in a similar position (preferably in an international group)
  • Business fluent communication skills in German and English
  • Diligent and resilient teamplayer, able to take constructive criticism and used to deliver on time (even considering tight deadline) with keen perception and critical thinking
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and preferably SAP R/3 FI module or Oracle with along with affinity for IT topics (with potential change of ERP on the horizon).
