We are seeking an Environmental Trading Operations Working Student or Intern to join our Operations and Portfolio Management team in Berlin. GO2 Markets connects buyers and sellers globally to facilitate the trading of various environmental products and provides advisory services for sustainability strategies.

This internship focuses on operational and financial analytics, along with managing essential recurring business operations within the Operations & Portfolio Management Team.

The Operations & Portfolio Management Team optimises revenue potential and ensures the seamless delivery of our products to clients. The team handles everything from internal strategy development to operational execution, with a strong emphasis on revenue and cash flow optimization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth daily operations.

This internship is based in Berlin, available immediately, and can be part-time or full-time for a minimum of 6 months.

Your Responsibilities At GO2 Markets

  • You will assist the Portfolio Manager with daily and recurring operational tasks, including data entry and portfolio management
  • You will facilitate communication with business stakeholders, collaborating closely with the Legal and Sales Trading teams.
  • You will co-lead a company-wide digitalization initiative and be responsible for coordinating with the Software Development team
  • You will design and execute monthly reports on our trading portfolio and operations, analysing the company’s past and projected financial performance
  • You will support the Portfolio Manager in developing innovative strategic initiatives and streamlining processes.


Your profile
  • You are currently enrolled in a Master’s program – ideally studying Entrepreneurship, Finance or Business Administration, with a focus on Finance and Data Analytics
  • You are eager to gain more knowledge about environmental products and excited to work in a dynamic and growing start-up
  • You have an innovative, problem-solving mindset and excel at detail-oriented work.
  • Your strong organisational skills make you a reliable business partner
  • You communicate fluently and confidently in English; German language skills are a significant advantage
  • You are highly proficient in Excel and comfortable with complex formulas and multiple data entry points. Previous experience in a finance-related role is preferred but not required
  • You are excited to learn about renewable energy, the carbon market and other climate-related commodities– or may already have some experience in these areas
