THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT TIER

Join our team at TIER and take on the pivotal role of a Mechatronic and Electrical Design Engineer. Your primary mission is to ensure the qualitative, timely, and cost-effective development of electrical and mechatronic components, following our product development process. You will take technical responsibility for the development of these components and products, contributing to sustainable expansion, product improvement, and the establishment of product excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Integrate and develop electrical and mechatronic components, adhering to the product development process.
• Take technical ownership of component and product development, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Contribute to the sustainable growth and enhancement of our product offerings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality improvement and project implementation.
• Establish design guidelines and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
• Conduct research on components, innovations, and competitor solutions to drive product excellence.
• Maintain existing products while aligning with other departments and stakeholders.

YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and experience in mechatronic and electrical components, ideally including RFID, cable harness, battery, and e-bike motor.
• A degree in a technical field, preferably in mechatronics or electrical engineering, or an apprenticeship with 2 years of work experience.
• High-quality standards in work and a skilled user of design software (e.g., CAD).
• Industry knowledge from the bicycle market and a genuine affinity for e-bikes is a plus
• Experience with modern product development processes, including sprints, JIRA, and PDP.
• Confidence in using JIRA
• Proficiency in English, German is a plus.
• A personable and empathetic individual who excels in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated flexibility and creativity in problem-solving.
• A solution-oriented mindset with a continuous improvement drive.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly within a team.
