Responsibilities:
The position will primarily be for ADAS and Infotainment segment customers, which are the areas targeted for ambitious business growth
You will engage with customers to develop a keen understanding of their goals, strategies, and technical needs – and help to define and deliver high-value solutions that meet these needs
By understanding the overall end-customer-product/application-use-case you will break it down into different solutions components (silicon, platform, firmware, security, software, libraries etc.)
You will technically coordinate a small team of talented engineers
Key team responsibility includes development and maintenance of embedded software for NXP IC’s with focus on automotive Radar applications (e.g. autonomous driving)
Translation of requirements to module level functionality together with architects
Creation and maintenance of unit tests
Cooperate with Validation team to define validation strategies and tests
Preparation and contribution to review procedures
Working in multicultural teams around the globe
Requirements:
Master of Electronic Engineering or Computer Science , ideally in communications theory
10+ years of experience in embedded software development
Strong understanding of the overall software solutions stack and top-notch problem-solving skills for complex system level use cases
Extensive breadth of deep technical knowledge (Arm, SoC, Software enablement, Tools, Platform-HW, Linux, RTOS, Drivers etc.) and experience in multi-disciplinary areas
Experiences in semiconductor or automotive industry with focus on wireless communication systems and radar applications
Profound knowledge in DSP programming and algorithm modeling with Matlab
Experience in: real-time and embedded software, RTOS, signal processing, processor architecture know-how
VLIW vector DSP programming in C/C++ and assembly
Advanced C and C++ v11 programming skills
Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming paradigm is a plus
Advanced knowledge of Git and CMake
Experience with Atlassian tools and configuration (i.e. JIRA and Bitbucket)
Profound knowledge in software integration and automated release and build management
Experience with embedded software debugging tools (like Logical Analyzer, Oscilloscope and Debugger) are desired
Good understanding of Functional Safety (FuSa) concepts and ASPICE including testing
Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment and ability to travel as needed
Fluent in English and German
