Your assignments

• As the specialist/functional and disciplinary leader of the Accounting & Controlling department, your team members will rely on you as their trusted coach and mentor, you’ll support their further professional development and training as successfully as you’ll develop a new strategy for the entire department, carefully implementing it by carrying out the corresponding activities.
• More specifically, you’ll define the technology strategy for our entire accounting, that is, you’ll design and map out the future of Central Finance and the S4/HANA strategy for all of Fresenius. In this context, you’ll review and assess our current solutions, implementing new technologies wherever they can improve the patient experience, always supported by the best-in-class team with 10+ years of experience in Fresenius.
• You’ll contribute to the future expansion of the Accounting and Controlling team, taking charge of (and full responsibility for) all end-to-end processes within the department (e.g., RE_FX, IFRS16, etc.) as well as of the cost center budget, KPIs, cost control, appointments, and deadlines, managing both internal and external resources.
• Finally, you’ll run and monitor the Change, Release, and Incident Management in order to continuously improve existing and future IT processes.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, computer science, business informatics or similar; alternatively: at least equivalent level of proficiency in the form of solid work experience in this area
• At least 10+ years of professional track record in finance and/or accounting (preferably in the Life Science or Consumer Goods industries), whereof 5+ years as a team lead and/or program/project manager of cross-functional global virtual teams; furthermore, experience with interfaces, defining already proven solutions, S/4HANA requirements, their various options, and their respective pros and cons
• Proven experience in managing internal and external teams
• Expertise in S/4HANA roadmap design and implementation, SAP FI/CO, and the integration of/into all other SAP modules and/or external systems; comprehensive understanding of all the different challenges of transitions to S/4HANA. Minimum 1 complete cycle on S/4 HANA implementation
• Proficient level of English; an added advantage is a good level of German
• Great communication, presentation, organizational and time management skills; good with people/teamwork; willingness to travel globally (20-30%)
