Director Digital Transformation - IT Lead for Corporate Communications (m/f/d)

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

Bayer is putting Digital Transformation to the core of its strategy. We are looking for an experienced Director Digital Transformation - IT Lead for Corporate Communications (m/f/d). To fill this role we are looking for an innovative mindset and an attitude to driving change.

How would you take us to the next level of digital transformation in the area of Corporate Communication?

Our IT unit is an integrated, value adding part of the company that shapes the digital transformation of Bayer with state-of-the-art information, collaboration and communication technology and that drives, enables and supports the digital transformation for our global Communications function. As part of IT you will be responsible to develop and shape the digital transformation agenda together with for Bayer’s global communication function.

The primary responsibilities of this role as Director Digital Transformation - IT Lead for Corporate Communications (m/f/d), are to:
  • Engage with Corporate Communication Leadership teams on strategic needs, the end user needs, market and competitive conditions and build a digital strategy, vision, roadmap and digital product portfolio
  • Ensure high public engagement through state of the art technologies as well as drive functional transformation within IT and Corporate Communications
  • Build effective & efficient structures with end-to-end accountably for the delivery of functional products and digital solutions, collaborating within an agile and cross-functional environment
  • Engage in continuous discovery activities across the company to evolve the digital product strategy to meet changing business needs or to leverage new technologies that will enhance the digital product
  • Be accountable for the content and quality of the digital product releases
  • Manage stakeholder expectations by effectively communicating the product vision, strategy and roadmap to functional key stakeholders
Who You Are
  • University degree in business, computer science or similar
  • Long-term experience as a product manager (m/f/d), business analyst (m/f/d) or similar role
  • Well versed in communications, digital technologies and strategy is desirable
  • Good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence working in a cross functional team, building relationships with engineering teams and business stakeholders
  • Passion for digital transformation
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
