Taxy.io is an award-winning tech startup that brings tax and legal advice to the next level with artificially intelligent software. As a team of computer scientists, business engineers and tax consultants, we are developing a technology that makes legal literature understandable for software and can be matched to individual client situations. Our goal is to create a central information hub for digital tax intelligence, which can be used by employees in finance and tax departments for recommended actions, but also integrated by third-party applications (e.g. CRM or accounting software).
Our solutions help leading tax and law firms in Germany and Austria to consult their clients in a faster and better way.

You will get interesting tasks!
  • Support (consulting, mentoring) of the development teams in building their application lifecycle solution with a focus on CI/CD
  • Administration and optimization of CI/CD processes in cooperation with the development teams
  • Active role in the the evolution of the development environments and support of the development processes
  • Design cost efficient, secured, high availability and/or fault tolerant solutions leveraging the cloud services or managed cloud services
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams in an Agile way such as Product Owners, Business Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Data Scientists and Technical Leads
  • Identify opportunities for automation within the application and the associated processes
  • Implement and maintain monitoring stacks and alerting
  • Ensuring (24/7) high availability and scalability of our Taxy.io platform
  • Conceptual and practical further development of our monitoring infrastructure as well as its integration into our microservice system landscape
  • Manage all software installations, configurations, and monitor installations across environments

Do we got a match? Your profile
  • 3+ years experience of having worked in a DevOps and/or Cloud Engineering role (system administration, development, infrastructure and scripting)
  • Excellent degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education
  • You have very good scripting skills, in particular in Bash and Python
  • Proven track record regarding your experience with application virtualization techniques such as container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in delivering solutions on Public Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure etc.) with a good knowledge of Cloud native services available
  • Experience with OS administration (Linux preferred)
  • Good understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Development of CI/CD pipelines using standard DevOps tools are no unknown concepts for you
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools ( Prometheus, Grafana ) and logging solutions (ElasticSearch, Logstash/FluentD, Kibana)
  • You have a good general understanding of IT security and data protection concepts
  • Experience in agile practices using Scrum and Kanban.
  • As we are an international team we expect you to have a very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of German
