Role Summary
The Technical Project Lead looks after customer projects with regard to technical planning, documentation and implementation. He reports to the implementation team lead. He takes on projects independently and creates the necessary technical planning and documentation. This includes: a detailed implementation plan, room overview plans, cabling plans and -lists, and other detailed technical documents that are needed according to general or tender specific requirements. He supervises the technical execution of the project on-site (on demand) and supports the installation team and service partners. He accepts suggestions from the service teams or other on-site teams and passes them on to the development department to improve product- and delivery quality. He works closely with planners, site managers and customers. In the company, he maintains close contact with the supply chain and project management. He works closely with quality assurance to constantly improve documentation and processes.
His role is to make sure that the technical project implementation is done according to the latest re-leased general reference design documents, aligned to the customer specific modifications and requirements following a detailed implementation plan. The technical project lead is familiar with the requirements for electrical safety in rooms used for medical purposes and the applicable structural regulations as well as contractual provisions.
Your work scope
  • requirement analysis of tender specs & customer requests.
  • creation of project documentation like drawings, cable plans, floor plans, implementation plan
  • support of the pmo team in terms of regulatory requirements in project execution
  • responsible for on-site work coordination with service teams, partners and other trades
  • supervising on-site installation teams if no on-site manager is available
  • responsible for feedback analysis & actions from installation teams to improve implementation processes
  • coordinate implementation workflow according to project needs and implementation plan
Your background
Education:
  • engineering degree specializing in technical building services and supply technology (FH di-ploma or bachelor’s degree) or a comparable engineering subject (electrical engineering, audio / video engineering / systems engineering and such)
  • Relevant work experience of at least three years -OR- 5 years experience as systems engineer, media technician, media engineer, master electrician or construction manager, all with project planning and/or documentation responsibility (full or partially)
OR
  • 5 years experience as systems engineer, media technician, media engineer, master electrician or construction manager, all with project planning and/or documentation responsibility (full or partially)
Knowledge & Skills
  • project management, execution and documentation
  • systematic and analytic mindset
  • strong technical background
  • experience with usage of technical documentation software like autocad or similar
  • knowledge of av and/or it-systems infrastructure components (hardware, cabling etc.)
  • knowledge of audio and video standards, distribution, and control
  • fluency in english in both spoken and written (min. b2). german is a plus.
  • structured and organized with focus on quality and documentation
  • open communicator to internal stakeholder in a complex organization
