This US conglomerate is a well known household name. They are in need of an ambitious senior tax specialist to do a mixed taxes role. You will sit as part of the European tax team and enjoy a varied role with a lot of opportunity to learn new areas and develop skills. You do not need to have all the experience listed, on day one – however a willingness to learn. You will be part of a supportive and world class in house tax function.

This role offers huge flexibility with only a few office days required every 2 weeks.

Key activities

  • Monitor the direct and indirect tax position of entities in the countries in scope to minimize tax exposures and to ensure compliance with tax legislation and policies
  • Assist with preparing/reviewing tax compliance
  • Provide tax advice and assistance to the business in the region
  • Assist in local tax audits
  • Identify and execute tax optimization opportunities to reduce the global ETR and cash tax
  • Assisting the tax accounting team with tax accounting and reporting matters
  • Assist with external reporting such as CbCr, DAC6
  • Manage information and documentation requests from group entities and business

About you

  • University degree
  • German language skills
  • Track record in tax or accounting with some tax
  • Track record in German taxes
  • Accounting of tax qualification an advantage, not necessary
