Job Summary:
The primary position is to run the local IT environment of the business unit you will be based at. support will also be provided for other smaller divisions as and when required. you will be expected to implement, maintain and enhance the Personal computing Environment, IT infrastructure and provide end-user support services at the specified Ingersoll rand locations as well as run/partake in projects in line with the business needs.
Responsibilities:
  • On-site IT support at the Memmingen and Munich plant.
  • Provide on-site and remote IT support
  • Respond to, troubleshoot and resolve end-user computer hardware and software issues
  • Provide local hands-on support for Global SME Infrastructure teams (Server, Network, Security)
  • Support SME Infrastructure team initiatives and deployments
  • Manage local computer assets and refresh process
  • Participate in local, regional and global IT projects and initiatives as directed
  • Manage supplier contracts such as telephony, MFD, environmental (fire suppression)
  • Plan/manage the IT budget
  • Maintain stable and operational local IT Infrastructure environment
  • Identify and highlight continuous improvement actions
  • Log incidents in ticketing system for all support work
  • Maintain Global IT standards and processes
  • Provide out of hours’ emergency support on-site when required
  • Build up Application knowledge to provide support to the user base
  • Maintain certification and audit compliance in accordance with the needs of the business
  • Engage in collaboration with the wider Regional and Global technical teams.

Qualifications:
Key Competencies:
NVQ Level 3 (A level) or relevant experience
Industry specific certifications (ITIL, MCP) or equivalent experience
Windows Client OS (7/10/11), Printers, Office 365 suite portfolio, Active Directory, Windows Server, Networking: WLAN, LAN/SDWAN CAT5/6 Cabling, Fibre technologies, TCP/IP, Cyber Security, Product Licencing (manage and maintain)
Team player but also have the ability to work alone and on own initiative
High level of customer focus essential
Good verbal and written English communication skills
Good problem solving skills
Desktop hardware and software technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
Interact with management and present recommendations on IT strategy
