Job Overview

The job position to be filled exists due to a new investment in high performance analytics equipment: Field Emitter (FEM) - Dual Beam Focused Ion Beam (FIB) - EDX - EBSD

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Evaluation, interpretation and processing of acquired data
  • Documentation of the results as reports
  • Critically evaluate requests to select optimum solutions, meeting or exceeding requirements and deadlines
  • Perform all responsibilities in a safe manner. Comply with all company policies including Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures and requirements
  • Perform tasks requiring a high degree of manual dexterity. Ability to learn, operate, and maintain all lab equipment in order to collect, process and catalogue analysis results
  • Cooperation in development projects
  • Collaboration in maintenance, improvement and procurement of new equipment
What Your Background Should Look Like
  • Master`s and/or PhD degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, mineralogy or equivalent but with a demonstrated strong focus and experience in electron microscopy
  • At least 3 years of well-documented hands-on expertise in operating various analytical and high-resolution SEM and FIB instruments
  • Broad know-how in various surface and material analysis methods
  • Evaluation, interpretation and processing of acquired data
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal customers, external customers and vendors. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors and other employees
  • Capacity for interdisciplinary and international teamwork and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to change priorities quickly to meet customer’s needs. Effectively manage competing priorities
