Introduction

As a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. You’ll manage complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points. Your strategic recommendations will drive change in a digitally-enabled era and give you the opportunity to collaborate with highly talented IBMers. Are you ready?

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Become a trusted advisor to our clients and help them connect their business strategies to their cloud strategies.
• Understand our client’s strategic needs, short and long-term business objectives and then articulate and formulate value propositions and statements of work which are aligned
• Advise clients to understand best practices around multi-cloud and container platform solutions.
• Participate in envisioning future industry trends and strategic technology domain solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with and advise various levels of stakeholders
• Assist in building the Cloud Advisory portfolio of
• Review and create work products in the following areas;
• Resilience & Management Strategy
• Reference Architectures / Existing Architecture – principles and decisions
• Workload & Toolchain requirements
• Site Reliability Engineering models and operating workflows
• Establish client value propositions that tie key strategic, financial, and operational metrics directly to near and long-term business improvement

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Proven consulting and leadership experience, including a proven ability to define and shape application migration & modernization solutions for customers via;
• Defining and refining a clients cloud strategy and roadmap
• Cloud Affinity and Adoption Roadmap / Application Portfolio Assessment (APA)
• Target Platform & Operating Model definition and implementation
• DevOps design and implementation
• Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to overcome day-to-day issues in pursuit of the end goal
• First-class communication skills – an ability to engage persuasively with stakeholders both inside IBM and with clients
• The ability and confidence to work independently
  
  

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Experience defining solutions for proposals and actual projects
• Proven experience in creating and compiling a cloud strategy and roadmap
• Ability to articulate the banking industry and transformation challenges presented by cloud and application modernization
• Certifications in leading cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure, Red Hat, IBM Cloud, GCP a plus
• German and English
• Must be open to extensive travel as needed
