Qualcomm Automotive team is rapidly expanding to offer optimized AI/CV solutions for in ADAS/AD and Infotainment/Cockpit systems. To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, we are seeking ambitious and innovative engineers who enjoy working with cutting edge technologies, in a fast-paced environment. The roles require significant interactions with OEMs/Tier-1s, Partners and ISVs as well as close cross-functional interaction within internal teams, good communication, planning and execution skills.

Responsibilities in this role shall include the following:

• Actively engage with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1s and ISVs to implement solutions based on of Qualcomm Automotive platforms and support their development and commercialization efforts.

• Design, implement and optimize vision and neural network processing pipelines and algorithms on Qualcomm’s SoCs and platforms.

• Closely collaborate with product owners and domain/technology experts to integrate/validate software in a larger systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience

• Software development experience in heterogenous/multi-core architectures (CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, tensor accelerators etc.).

• Strong skills in analyzing performance of AI/CV solutions on heterogenous architectures (core, cache, memory, bus, etc.).

• Hands-on experience developing AI/CV software for embedded systems using operating systems like QNX, Linux and other RTOS.

• Hands-on experience developing and optimizing kernels and algorithms for DSP architectures, vector and tensor accelerators.

• Experience with NN execution patterns - compilers (eg. Glow, XLA, TVM etc) and runtimes (eg. ANN, TFlite, SNPE etc.).

• Knowledge of frameworks and SDKs for Vision, Compute and Deep Learning (eg. OpenCV, OpenCL, PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.).

• Strong programming experience in C/C++/Python.

• Industry experience in AI/machine learning applications in the fields of automotive, robotics, IOT etc.

• Experience with neural network quantization, compression, pruning algorithms.

• Experience with industry standard and emerging benchmark suites such as MLPerf.

• Experience designing complex fault-tolerant safety systems and designing in accordance to industry standard specifications (eg. ISO26262).

• Excellent issue debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and team working skills.

Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems 3+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., 7+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters - Computer Science, Masters - Engineering, Masters - Information Systems 3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3+ years experience with API. ,3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,12+ years Software Engineering or related work experience. Mathematical Methods, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Scientific Analysis, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software Solutions
