The PositionAs a Software Development Engineer (f/m/d) you will be responsible for the documentation and development of our software components at our Roche Competence Centre in Ludwigsburg as well as the smooth running of the software development.Your responsibilities:
  • Independent development and design of software components for pre-analytic systems such as cobas p 312 as well as their verification using whitebox tests, code reviews and creation of the corresponding documentation for our existing pre-analytic systems
  • You are responsible for creating and documenting for our Software-Detailed-Design, participation in definition of software requirements in cooperation with requirement engineers and accountable for the Technical-Backlog.
  • You are responsible for maintaining and improving the Build-Process and Release Documentation
  • You take over the Technical guidance of the software development team (externals and internals) within projects, which you plan and coordinate independently
  • You are responsible for implementation of development projects in interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments, external partners and research institutes
  • You actively participate in the continuous improvement of the software development process, including training sessions for colleagues

You already gained knowledge in technical and project management and are able to make responsible decisions.You also bring:
  • Degree in computer science, information technology or comparable.
  • Several years of professional experience as a software developer or software tester in the product development of complex systems in the field of laboratory automation, medical technology or the development of mechatronic systems.
  • Expertise in the programming language C / C++ and at least one additional programming language.
  • Expertise in navigating within different operating systems (Linux, Windows)
  • Profound knowledge of testing frameworks like GoogleTest
  • Experience in handling and maintaining Build Pipelines
  • Excellent English (C1 level) skills and experience in agile software development
  • Good knowledge of all phases of the software development process (requirements management, architecture and design, verification, validation) in a regulated environment using common tools (GIT, ALM-Tools, PlantUML, Visual Studio Code, etc.)
