In the Department of Ergonomics and Human-Machine Systems, we research socio-technical (work) systems using engineering approaches, focusing on people and their interactions with technical actors and systems. In our team, we offer highly motivated people the opportunity to work independently on exciting research and industry projects on current ergonomic issues and to develop professionally and personally.

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a completed MATSE - education with a bachelor’s degree.
  • Work experience would be desirable
  • Motivation to experiment with new technologies in the field of virtual, augmented and mixed reality and to combine hardware of different application areas for realization and innovative applications.
  • Sound knowledge in at least one common programming language (preferably C++ or C#) and experience in game development with Unity3D and/or the Unreal Engine.
  • Knowledge in editing 3D graphics.
  • Analytical and logical thinking skills
  • You are characterized by a responsible approach to work and above-average initiative and commitment.
  • You have a very good knowledge of German and English.
Your tasks
  • Your responsibilities will include, in particular, the implementation of the code structure for applications in virtual, augmented and mixed reality
  • You will implement features in the Unreal and/or Unity engine
  • You will contribute your own ideas for the design and implementation of new design and interaction components in virtual and mixed reality.
  • You prepare graphics and 3D models and integrate them into the application.
Our offer

The recruitment is carried out in the employment relationship.

The position is to be filled as soon as possible and is limited to 2 years.

A further employment is sought.

The time limit is in accordance with
  • 14 para 1 Part-Time and Fixed-term Act (TzBfG). This is a full-time position. Upon request, part-time employment can be made possible. The grouping is based on the TV-L. The position is evaluated with EG 10.
