Aufgaben

At SDA, we are hiring Senior Software Systems Engineers to solve complex problems, bringing virtualized industrial control to life.

  • Logically design and structure solutions that enable cross-team implementation
  • Examine existing systems and programs to identify areas for improvement and integration
  • Identify issues between systems and client specifications and propose new solutions to overcome limitations
  • Direct and oversee the activities of a team of developers, provide guidance, and help resolve issues
  • Continuously research current and emerging technologies and propose changes as needed
  • Inform and align relevant stakeholders about potential architectural issues and plan solutions
  • Assess business impact of technical choices
  • Bias for action: Help implement a solution, if necessary
Qualifikation

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building, refactoring and/or operating large scale, production-grade software stacks
  • Understanding of application, infrastructure, and security architectures and non-functional aspects like performance, scalability, reliability, availability
  • Proficient in functional programming principles
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and document complex business and technical requirements as well as solution strategies.
  • Extensive knowledge of systems design patterns
  • In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, C++, C#, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript) and Test-Driven development
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with test-driven development
  • Extensive knowledge of operating systems, databases, networking
  • In depth understanding of compiler and transpiler construction and programming language definition
  • Experience with cloud engineering (preferrable AWS)
