The Finance team at Marley Spoon is growing, with a mission to provide business partnership using best-in-class financial data and analysis. Our aim is to help the company make the right, fact-based decisions to move the business forward. As part of this effort, we are now looking for an exceptional Senior Reporting Specialist!

Name and location of the role:

Senior Reporting Specialist (f/m/d), based in Berlin, Germany but possible to be located elsewhere in Germany or in Amsterdam. This position is initially a maternity leave cover for 12 months, with the opportunity to potentially grow further within the organisation.

What you will do:

• Drive quarterly and annual financial consolidation activities
• Work with the FP&A team to oversee the monthly reporting and system-upload of actual financials
• Assist in compiling our IFRS half-year and annual reports for filing on the ASX
• Drive the reporting process for local GAAP statutory filings in Europe & Australia
• Carry out analysis of financial results as part of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting periods of the subsidiaries and the Group Company
• Support the audit processes for various internal and statutory audits, and the annual group audit
• Support Company management with various ad-hoc reports and analysis
• Take an active role in advising on complex issues relating to national and international accounting rules as well as ensuring compliance in all regions with Group accounting policies
• Support the external quarterly results reporting process, including owning the financial accuracy and data validation
• Work closely with the Company’s external auditors and tax advisers
• Assist in the development and documentation of the Company’s (tax) transfer pricing strategies in accordance with tax frameworks and the requirements of corporate management

Who you will work with:

While this is a Germany (or Amsterdam)-based role, you will interact with the global Marley Spoon finance team, especially the centralized reporting and accounting functions based in Berlin, Germany.

Requirements:

• Several years of professional experience in the field of reporting, auditing, group accounting or accounting preferably in a fast growing company
• Experience in consumer products/manufacturing environments preferred
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance/Accounting required, professional accounting accreditation preferred (CPA, ACCA, Wirtschaftsprüfer(in)/Steuerberater(in))
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where change is constant
• Exceptional analytical skills and clear communication style
• Strong eye for detail while being able to take a step back and understand the bigger picture
• Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization, including individuals outside of the finance function, across multiple time zones
• Experience in transfer pricing arrangements and documentation preferred
• Fluent in English required, German or Dutch language skills a plus
