Tasks

Our R&D group „Mechanical Meter Industrial (MMI)” is working on enhancements and new product developments of high-precision devices for mechanical turbine gas meter targeting the industrial gas market. The position advertised here is located at Mainz-Kastel, close to Frankfurt, which constitutes the Honeywell Center of Excellence – MMI. The site hosts a broad R&D organization that covers all development areas as well as on-site production and is excellently embedded in Honeywell’s international ecosystem.

This position of Senior R&D Specialist will support the Turbine Flow Measurements team especially in the areas of metrological aspects, approvals and testing of meters at low and high pressure gases.

Requirements

Your profile
  • very good knowledge on flow metering systems
  • desirable knowledge in mechanical gas metering
  • 3+ years of profound Market and Application experience in Gas/Liquids Exploration, Transportation and Distribution
  • Extended experience in Six Sigma
  • Following additional qualifications are a plus
– Participation in requirements analysis and implementation of customer specific requirements (Requirements Engineering)

– Gas Flow and Metering Effects

– Metrology and Safety Approvals

Personality: team player, but independent on structuring own work

Working style: driven, structured and goal-oriented

Qualification: strong analytical skills

Language: German and English

Education: Completed University (or college) studies in Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
