Senior QA Engineer (Automation) - Merchant Bank, Growth

As a Senior QA Engineer (Automation) in the Merchant Bank tribe, you’ll be part of the team which builds SumUp’s own digital bank to make our customers more successful in what they like doing. You’ll be part of a local, autonomous, cross-functional team that can take an aspect of our product and perfect it from concept to execution.

Growth Squad’s mission is to help our customers get on board and utilize the Sumup Bank as quickly and smoothly as possible. We are responsible for a broad range of topics like bank onboarding, KYC services, and strong customer authentication.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you’ll join a cross-functional team and lead the entire quality process throughout all stages of SDLC. You’ll partner with product owners and engineers to define all areas of testing strategies and requirements in depth.

What you’ll do

• Actively collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to build requirements, especially in terms of testability, consistency and completeness
• Refine and help the team define acceptance criteria for product features
• Develop test automation scripts for functional and non-functional tests
• Develop, update and execute the manual tests and complex business flows
• Follow up the product on production, investigate possible issues and create detailed bug reports
• Ensure execution of the regression test within the team or in other affected teams
• Assist the team with the general product vision
• Encourage the teams to adopt and maintain new quality patterns and tools

You’ll be great for this role if

• You have solid experience (5+ years) working with QA.
• You have experience and a genuine passion for automation testing and requirement analysis.
• You’re proficient in creating functional and non-functional risk-based test plans that include automation strategy for front and back end as well as business flows and user experience aspects.
• You’re familiar with mobile and API testing.
• You have a solid understanding of the SDLC phases.
• You are self-motivated and proactive with excellent English communication skills.
