Senior Manager, Field Clinical Specialist Imaging will be leading a mid-size team of regional Field Clinical Imaging Specialists that support assigned products/activities within the Professional Education for EU Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies (TMTTs).

Transcatheter Mitral & Tricuspid Therapies (TMTTs)are the future of Edwards – Estimated to be a more than $5 billion opportunity by 2028, Edwards will discuss its multiple transcatheter programs aimed at transforming care for the many patients suffering from mitral and tricuspid regurgitation. Edwards plans to launch one transformational therapy in Europe each year led by its CARDIOBAND and PASCAL programs. Since 2017 already 4 products are certified for EU and the other coming soon!

Candidate location: Germany (you could be located in all regions in Germany).

Essential job requirements are:
  • Reasonable expertise in echocardiography
  • People leading experience
  • Candidate location in Germany
  • Travelling flexibility in Germany but also abroad (Europe)
  • German and English fluent

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Field Clinical Imaging Specialists responsible for on-site imaging education activities, intraprocedural support and screening related to Edwards devices and related procedures;
  • Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department including building and defining clear areas of responsibilities of the team;
  • Develop and lead the implementation of projects and strategic activities which may include negotiations with internal and external parties;
  • Create automated dashboards in partnership with the Business Operations team to provide lagging and leading indicators for patient approval/screening yields, etc.;
  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members (e.g., site activation specialists, training managers, field trainers) to define and lead the implementation of educational training plans across the region according to business priorities and customer needs;
  • Manage and govern quality of all reporting forms and gather insights from the field to support the reporting process. Ensure technical procedure details are accurately recorded in the system (e.g., SalesForce) and train team members on updates aligning with compliance and processes with Quality and Regulatory teams;
  • Lead and act as an advisor and provide guidance to cross-functional, cross-regional teams on product launch implementations;
  • Partner/interface with other regions and pre-commercial teams (e.g., Clinical Affairs) to ensure commercial/launch readiness;
  • Gather competitor information based on field activities and ensure all relevant insights are shared with R&D and Marketing department;
  • Other incidental duties: Attend and educate at conferences as needed.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in in related scientific (health care) field, related experience required;
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in related field preferred;

Additional Skills:
  • Demonstrated track record in people management required in a healthcare related environment;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems;
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Broad understanding of cardiac procedures;
  • Expert understanding of related aspects of field educational processes and/or good training practices;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team to provide coaching and feedback to maintain the highest standard of professional education of the team, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations;
  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of field education to the business;
  • Lead a team that has the ability to provide cardiac teams with all aspects related to the use of Edwards products; theoretical training, live implantation, device and procedure understanding and implementation;
  • Strict attention to detail;
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization;
  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment;
  • Business integrity and ethics to align with Edwards credo;
  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company; often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team;
