• Work with our end-to-end encrypted system to assure privacy for our users
• Build and implement state-of-the-art frontend features by writing accessible, performant, maintainable, and well-tested code following the latest best practices
• Develop, test, and review code; and take part in the software design and architecture decisions
• Contribute to our JavaScript SDK which connects our platform to our partners
• Use your UI expertise to implement digital health products and prototypes
• Collaborate closely with Design, Backend Engineering, QA, and Product Management
  

• You’re ready for a challenging position with the opportunity to learn and to contribute to the project with your extensive experience as a frontend engineer
• You have a deep understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and TypeScript)
• You have a strong focus on performance, semantic markup, accessibility and security
• You’re up to date in terms of new design trends, frameworks, and web APIs like WebWorker, ServiceWorker, and web standards like WebAssembly
• You’re able to analyze the pros and cons and provide insights on new web APIs, standards, frameworks, toolkits
• You have experience with the progressive enhancement methodology
• You show a sense for good design and great user experience
• You’re happy to mentor more junior engineers and participate in design and code reviews
• You’re fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Maintaining a React-based web app used by our users to securely store and share their medical documents
• Building a symptom assessment, daily tracker and on-the-ground testing solution for COVID-19 as a rapid response to the pandemic in conjunction with well-known partners, plus open-sourcing several applications
• Using GatsbyJS to set up the foundation for a highly performant, accessible and offline-capable documentation and knowledge sharing platform
• Creating a plugin for Kirby CMS to generate static pages to make the output even more performant and secure
• Creating our component library that works with any UI framework and a design tokens system with Stencil.js and Storybook to align development and design processes
