For our headquarter in Ismaning near Munich (or Rotterdam) we are looking for a

(Senior) Counsel Labour & Employment Europe (M/F/D)

fulltime/unlimited contract

YOUR RESPONSIBILITES

Provide strategic legal advice and counsel on Labour and Employment law issues for different Westlake businesses across Europe including Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Italy
Legal advice across a wide range of strategic issues, including, for example, local and cross border employee questions, restructuring projects or mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
Identification of legal risks and mitigation measures, litigation
Assuming other responsibilities within the Legal Department such as insurance matters and corporate projects (approx. 20%)
Oversee and work effectively with outside counsel in the respective European countries

YOUR PERSONALITY

Qualified lawyer with bar exam in either Germany or the Netherlands
Extensive legal post-qualification experience in labor and employment law in several European member states, especially in German or Dutch labor and employment law
Experience in handling commercial matters & projects preferred, experience with insurance matters considered a plus
Superior negotiating skills and ability to work in complex international environment, substantial experience working in different cultures and an open and tolerant mind
