Senior Controller - Tech (m/w/d)

THE ROLE & THE TEAM

Zalando’s Central Tech Finance Team is looking for a Senior Controller to help us scale and manage cost drivers in our diverse IT landscape (AWS) and improve automation processes.

You will be part of the Central Tech Finance Team driving with financial expertise our IT transformation initiatives. You will be partnering with senior leaders to drive efficiencies in our overhead costs.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• As a financial business partner you’ll work with various stakeholders to understand business context, and contribute with financial expertise to business cases to drive ROI
• You are responsible for planning rounds (budget/rolling forecast) for your designated area
• You’ll manage in measuring the progress towards the organizational goals & analyze any deviations to indicate corrective action.
• You’ll manage defining goals, the planning and controlling of business processes, Cost-effectiveness calculations as the basis for make-or-buy decisions, ABC analysis, Overhead value analysis and Budget monitoring.
  
• You will work directly with leaders to define KPIs as measures of success.
  
• You will design and create dashboards for monthly reporting and steering committees.
  
• Drive improvement initiatives and their successful implementation

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• 5+ years of experience in Controlling
• You have a passion for finance, digitalization and technology.
• You have professional communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• You have experience in accounting and controlling. IAS/IFRS standards are not a foreign language to you. You are well experienced with SAP S/4 HANA or SAP R/3, GSuite, Jedox, Power BI, Google Studio, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures with the ability to dive into the details while also keeping an eye on the big picture.
  
• You carefully plan tasks and processes, set clear goals and follow-up on results. You are an expert in controlling methodology and questioning behavior and bring the necessary skill set with you. You are capable of challenging stakeholders across all communication levels.
• You consistently demonstrate a customer centric approach and start to flag continuous improvements initiatives within your area
