Scientist* RNA Encoding Antibodies

Your Main Responsibilities Are

At BioNTech you will be responsible for in vitro and in vivo assay development and lead preclinical projects in the field of antibody therapy.
  • Establishment of new and optimization of existing complex, cell-based in vitro assays for preclinical investigation and characterization of RNA-based antibodies as cancer immunotherapeutics
  • Establish, design, conduct and analyze in vivo studies in mice
  • Reporting of project results and scientific presentations to team, supervisors, project partners, department
  • Writing of scientific reports, animal test applications and regulatory documents in the different phases of preclinical investigation of the therapeutics under care
  • Participation in national and international conferences including scientific presentations, as well as reading and following relevant literature to support scientific discussions
  • Guidance of lab personnel
What You Have To Offer.
  • PhD in biochemistry, biotechnology, biology or a closely related field with several years of relevant professional experience, ideally industrial experience
  • Several years of hands-on experience in the design and execution of endogenous mouse cancer models and evaluation (FELASA C or equivalent).
  • Expert in characterization of tumor immunology and microenvironment by immunohistochemistry, flow-cytometry, tumor/immune cell co-culture assays, 3D organoid culture.
  • Sound experience in molecular and immnunological techniques as IHC, WB, ELISA, qPCR, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy.
  • Strong experience in assay design, validation and result visualization.
  • Authoring of reports, plans of research studies and obtaining regulatory permits in animal welfare.
  • Fluent in English and German
