Sales Manager South

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will play a key part in assisting the sales team by preparing technical and commercial proposals for our products. Your strong technical and market knowledge will enable you to provide customers with efficient and effective solutions, ensuring their needs are met throughout the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a critical technical resource and primary point of contact for customers within your assigned area, supporting the team in delivering optimal results.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role contributes to the Process Automation - Measurement & Analytics division, specifically within the Instrumentation Business Line, located in Hanau-Grossauheim, Germany. Main stakeholders include internal teams and customers in this region.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Prepare formal technical and commercial offers, including clear contract terms, while assisting sales colleagues in specifying optimal, cost-effective solutions to meet customers’ needs.
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for customers, providing technical advice and solutions to inquiries from customers, channels, and Sales Specialists regarding products, systems, and applications, and supporting product presentations, meetings, and negotiations.
  • Conduct analytical and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solutions for customer needs, addressing complex inquiries and providing vital information for risk assessments.
  • Monitor customer needs and competitor offerings through market intelligence, develop and maintain new sales opportunities, resolve specific customer issues, and ensure achievement of targets, including orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Qualifications For The Role

  • You are highly skilled in SAP and web-based working, and have a strong understanding of the process automation market.
  • You have at least two years of experience in a similar position or with similar products, demonstrating your expertise in the field.
  • You possess an in-depth technical background, ideally with a qualification in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, or building services engineering.
  • You are fluent in both German and English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • You are self-motivated, curious, and passionate about learning new technologies, and you thrive in a collaborative, solution-focused environment.
