Position Title
Rotating Equipment Engineer (m/f/d)
Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for site-wide support and optimization of rotating equipment (pumps, agitators, dissolvers, etc.) to reduce unplanned downtime and minimize maintenance costs. In addition, you will be responsible for the site-wide support and development of condition monitoring systems as well as the maintenance and optimization of the spare parts management system for rotating equipment in SAP and through service contracts.
Job Description
Your responsibilities
- Continuous analysis of the as-is situation and implementation of optimization measures (continuous improvement process) to continuously increase plant availability and reduce maintenance costs
- Contact person for plant and project engineers as well as workshop staff for the selection and repair of rotating equipment and implementation of condition monitoring
- Maintenance and development of site-wide standards for rotating equipment and maintenance and optimization of the spare parts management system for rotating equipment in SAP in coordination with plant engineers and workshop supervisors; standardization of spare parts (bill of material) in SAP
- Standardization of maintenance plans based on condition monitoring information or time-controlled based on manufacturer and operator experience
- Support in documentation of proper maintenance / preventive maintenance according to legal requirements and internal standards
- Assistance with process and plant safety assessments
- Performance of or participation in RCA (root cause analysis) related to rotating equipment failures and damage
- Implementation of legal and relevant standard requirements (e.g. BetrSichV, Atex) according to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 and ISO 50001 with regard to rotating equipment by creating internal standards, SOPs and maintenance plans
- Continuous optimization of rotating equipment investment costs and operating costs (wear and tear, energy consumption) through market analyses and tenders in cooperation with the purchasing department
- Regular coordination with production and other areas within the framework of Tier 2 Board / technical meetings
- Management of investment projects specifically for rotating equipment in compliance with time and budget requirements
- Participation as a team member on particularly large and complex capital projects including installation supervision and commissioning of rotating equipment
- Compliance with legal regulations and internal company standards for occupational and plant safety as well as environmental and health protection
Basic Qualifications
- Degree in mechanical engineering (Master / Diplom-Ingenieur TU/TH)
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the field of industrial maintenance or service of rotating equipment
- Expertise in condition monitoring and rotating equipment
- Knowledge of relevant regulations such as BetrSichV, Atex and their interpretation/application
- Good understanding of operational contexts as well as excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills; team-oriented approach to work
- User knowledge of SAP-PM, SAP-MM, MS Office programs, MS Project
- Fluent English (spoken and written) and business fluent German (spoken and written)
- Very good presentation skills of complex technical issues
- First leadership experience
- Practical experience in the environment of chemical production plants
- Strong knowledge of reliability methods and principles such as RCA, bad actor analysis
