At our subsidiary in Goettingen, the Research Informatics department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated

Research Associate (f/m/d) – Scientific Data Management

Full-time and permanent

As part of the Research Informatics, Scientific Data Management Group, you will provide support to Drug Discovery applications and Informatics projects and contribute to scientific projects data management.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Provide support to Drug Discovery scientific applications for biologists and ensure business continuity (incident and operational issues solving, definition and implementation of change control)
  • Provide training and informatics support to the scientific community
  • Contribute to software implementation and integration projects
  • Collect requirements and implement suitable solutions and databases to support bio sample management and lab data processing, data analysis, data reporting, visualization and automation
  • Support sample data flow locally and coordinate with other support teams across Evotec sites
  • Contribute to the definition of data management business rules for bio entities such as cell lines, proteins, antibodies, DNA, RNAs and human samples
  • Support the harmonization of the data structure and the data import in the inventory software Titian/Mosaic
  • Ensure data consistency, data quality, data integrity and confidentiality throughout the process from collection to shipping of bio samples, sample processing, aliquoting and storage, and inventory management, traceability
  • Interact constructively in the setup of specifications with the BioInformatics group and the different Evotec biology departments
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary projects in an exciting, fast-paced discovery-oriented environment, and at the interface of several departments and Evotec sites

Your ideal qualifications:

  • Master Degree or Engineer in computer or natural sciences
  • Experience in computer and Life Sciences in different data management fields: ELN, data workflows, relational and non-relational databases
  • Demonstrated programming skills in data manipulation using tools such Knime, R, Python and SQL
  • Experience in scientific data analysis and statistics would be a plus
  • Application of good data management, data integration and governance practices
  • Excellent team spirit, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in transverse and multidisciplinary teams, and adaptability
  • Fluent English
