You will be part of an exciting modelling & simulation team that contributes to the efficient development of catalysts and design of exhaust gas after-treatment systems based on a deep understanding of the underlying physics and chemistry. This is achieved by, but not limited to, the establishment of new laboratory experiments and simulation methods that allow us to predict and optimize the behavior of our catalysts in the application.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Development and implementation of sustainable problem solutions in cooperation with other departments
  • Planning, coordination, execution and documentation of R&D projects
  • Building essential relationships with the internal and external stakeholders related to your research projects
  • Communicating results and ideas through presentations, internal reports, scientific articles and patent applications
  • Continuous monitoring of technical and patent literature

Who we are looking for
  • PhD in chemistry, process engineering or comparable subject area
  • Experience in the simulation of chemical reactors, preferably of exhaust gas catalysts, ideally acquired through a PhD in this field
  • Very good programming knowledge e.g. in C++, FORTRAN or Matlab
  • Excellent knowledge in the field of catalysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent working style, creativity, ability to innovate and strong teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and orally and willingness to learn German

What we offer

We aim to lead the way. Not just for our customers, but for our employees too. That is why we strive to create a collaborative environment in which we can all succeed, and a culture through which we can all share ideas, develop our expertise and advance our careers. As you would expect from a world-leading organisation, we will also reward your contribution with a competitive salary and benefits. With all this and more, imagine what you could do?

If my skills can help reduce harmful vehicle emissions, Imagine what you could do?
