The position Pricing Manager – Pricing Competence Center (m/f/x) can be based in Hamburg or Frankfurt.

Aufgaben
  • Conduct pricing analysis and business evaluation, recommend and/or decide price levels for regional and global RFQ opportunities
  • Perform risk assessment of pricing recommendations and decisions
  • Procure rates from suppliers in case tariffs do not exist
  • Map and structure trucking rates and local charges by working with internal network & external vendors, benchmarking rates and deciding right tariff level
  • Ensure market based LCL rates taking into consideration internal product capabilities
  • Gather, consolidate and structure LCL pick up rates across the region as well as equipment surplus/deficit situations of core carriers
  • Take part in customer feedback calls when required to actively engage in the solution design phase jointly with the tender team
  • Work closely with the Business Development team for devising measures to optimize revenue and profitability
  • Provide up to date pricing reports and ensure information is made available for Business Development and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with different key stakeholders (i.e. Trade Managers, Country Managers, Business Development, etc.) to align on pricing strategy
Qualifikation
  • Completedapprenticeship / studies in the field of freight forwarding
  • 5 or more years’ experience in Ocean pricing / procurement / operations in an international Freight Forwarding / NVOCC environment
  • Good knowledge of LCL pricing
  • Effective networker in the field of global Ocean Freight
  • Experience in gathering and analysing different data sets and drawing conclusions
  • Business acumen, excellent negotiation skills and strong ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Excellentworking knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PPT
