Position Title:OpMed IT End User Trainer

Position Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Skilled EHR trainer will perform classroom training, virtual training, computer-based training and over the shoulder training as needed for all end users on the TMIP-AF suite of applications to include AHLTA-T, TC2, DCAM, TMDS and MSAT; coordinate with on-site readiness professionals for optimization of flexible training schedule for pre-deployment, CMRP requirements and Aeromedical Evacuation needs
- Maintains records of training activities to include training needs assessments, training attendance records, military training records and student course critiques; continuously evaluates improves processes
- Exceptional communication, organization, computer skills and public speaking abilities
- Collect, organize and evaluate clinical, functional and training metrics and submit reports as required
- Manage instruction, develop presentations, prepare training aids, and provide over the shoulder support when not conducting formal training; will research and improve teaching capability as baseline activity
- Trainers will track training needs of their respective Military Treatment Facility (MTF) or Major Command (MAJCOM) and communicate with AFOMIS PM for all travel requirements identified, will support site with continuity binder that contains critical information about the MTF/MAJCOM and processes in place identified with POCs
- Perform “other duties as assigned” by the government deemed necessary for program success
Education & Experience Requirements
- Must be a United States citizen and able to pass a government background investigation and be processed through the ECOPS/SOFA status
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field preferred, however, demonstrated equivalent technology training and service-related experience may be substituted if member meets program management and technical requirement needs and demonstrates proficiency in use of clinical EHR
- The desired candidate will have a clinical background and minimum five (5) years’ experience training Information Technology (IT) solutions in support of DoD healthcare operations; content/curriculum development for DoD healthcare IT systems preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office software, simple program management applications, and experience working within military networks; COMPTIA A+ certification (or Tier II support equivalent experience) preferred
- Extensive written, oral and presentation skills; must be able to effectively communicate fluently in the English language
- Security clearance eligibility required: SECRET
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend, lift and carry equipment (i.e. equipment, books, tools) weighing approximately 15-25 pounds.
- Most of the work is performed in-doors however there will be occasional support in an outdoor/deployed environment
- Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
- Requires standing in front of students for up to an hour at a time
- Travel will be required.
