The Global ESG team is responsible for the further development, execution and reporting of Canyon’s ESG measures.As our Non-Financial Reporting Expert (m/w/d) you will work directly with our Global Director of ESG and be responsible for the delivery of the annual non-financial reporting. You will also keep an eye on any upcoming global non-financial regulatory requirements and act a first point of contact for global teams in all non-financial reporting related topics. YOUR JOB AS PART OF THE CANYON CREW
  • Responsible for non-financial reporting, related to legal requirements and the continuous improvement of underlying processes
  • Owning strategic parts of the non-financial reporting requirements and deliver relevant descriptive information
  • Understanding all non-financial metrics as well as analysis of relevant data to support a companywide understanding of strategic needs and future reporting requirements
  • Driving the implementation of IT tools supporting non-financial reporting obligations and steer cross-functional teams to on time delivery of high-quality data inputs
  • Advise and support cross-functional teams in drafting documentation for external assurance across an increasing set of non-financial metrics
  • Flexibility and ability to accommodate stakeholders in different time zones (mainly USA and Europe)

HOW YOU BECOME PART OF THE RACE
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Very strong background in finance, accounting, sustainability, non-financial reporting, or impact measurement
  • Understanding of and experience with non-financial reporting standards (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, WEF IBC) and industry trends including upcoming regulatory reporting (e.g., EU CSRD, CSDDD….)
  • Excellent project- and change management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • You are a quick learner, think in systems and understand new concepts outside of your own expertise
  • Outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • A global mindset and used to work with different cultures
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player
  • Very good English skills, written and spoken
