Medical Science Liaison
Role & Function

Responsible for driving country medical activities in alignment with regional initiatives and the Global Medical Plan, proactively manage medical scientific stakeholders and create value for patients through medical and scientific stakeholder engagement, medical scientific projects and scientific communications.

Key Responsibilities
      Identify, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs, scientific experts and other medical scientific stakeholders
        Compile, analyze, prepare and deliver high quality medical pharmaceutical and scientific communications in line with defined communication plans
          Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans, according to Sobi’s high standards
            Support country “Global Brand” team in developing local medical tactics and provide input to Headquarter (HQ)/regional plans if relevant
              Organize and set up scientific advisory boards with the appropriate key stakeholders, in collaboration with Medical Advisor or Senior Medical Advisor (MA, SMA)
              Contribute and support medical scientific aspects in various activities locally and regionally
              Provide local and regional feedback to HQ when performing Business Development Due Diligence
              Deliver inputs to head office led medical programs ahead of launch
              Coordinate Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISSs) as appropriate and support studies on the local level
              Coordinate medical information enquiries in collaboration with MA/SMA and HQ in Stockholm
              Attend relevant local, regional and global congresses and symposia to represent Sobi and interact with appropriate stakeholders and customers
              Represent the scientific interests in internal and external forums and interact with KOLs at, e.g., hospitals and other Non-Governmental Organizations within the therapeutic area
              Maintain and develop strong relationships with scientific societies and central decision makers
              Provide advice to the organization and management on medical matters and their legal implications
              Safeguard that the medical and scientific knowledge for the therapeutic area remains at the forefront of contemporary thinking; remain updated on therapeutic trends related to new and existing products.
            Qualifications
                University degree in medical/science or other relevant field
                  +3 years of direct experience in the medical environment
                    Experience from an international LifeScience organization
                      Experience from medical affairs, medical/clinical science, clinical development, access and health economy
                        In-depth knowledge of national healthcare systems and practices
                        Experience in KOL Management and Account Planning
                        Ability to create and network with KOLs at national level,
                        Knowledge of national healthcare system and decision making, including regulatory, safety, legal and compliance
                        Experience in communicating and building relations with authorities
                        Experience in organize medical advisory boards and symposia at national and international congresses
                        Experience in developing scientific presentations and giving scientific lectures
                        Valid driver license
                        In addition to local language, fluency in English
                        Proficient user of modern IT and office software.
                        Preferably hands on experience within immunological therapies or orphan drugs
