Legal Business Partner (d/f/m)
Benelux, DACH, France, Eastern Europe & National Work
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
A highly skilled and motivated Legal Business Partner to join Beauty & Wellbeing Legal team. As a Legal Business Partner, primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive legal support across Europe, with a specific focus on marketing legal support, customer development support (including competition compliance) and end-to-end legal business partnership. The Legal counsel will play a vital role in coordinating legal support for projects within the geography, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of European legal systems, excellent communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
YOUR TASKS:
Marketing Legal Support:
  • Provide legal guidance and support for marketing initiatives, including reviewing marketing claims (materials), advertising campaigns, promotions, and social media activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection, consumer protection, and advertising standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop legally compliant marketing strategies and campaigns.
Customer Development Support:
  • Advise on legal aspects related to customer development, including drafting, and negotiating customer agreements, terms and conditions, and privacy policies.
  • Support competition compliance efforts by conducting legal research, analyzing potential risks, and providing guidance on antitrust laws and regulations.
  • Assist in resolving legal disputes with customers, if necessary, and participate in dispute resolution processes.
End-to-End Legal Business Partnership:
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders, providing strategic legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in European laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and best practices.
Project Coordination and Support:
  • Coordinate legal support for projects within the geography of responsibility, ensuring timely and effective delivery of legal services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal requirements and provide guidance on legal implications.
  • Support contract management activities, including contract drafting, negotiation, and administration.
  • Conduct due diligence and risk assessments for potential business ventures and partnerships.
YOUR PROFIL:
  • Law degree from an accredited university and admission to the bar in one or more European jurisdictions, preferably the Netherlands or Germany.
  • 10+ years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on commercial law, marketing law, competition law, or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of European legal systems, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Experience providing legal support in a multinational company or law firm, with a focus on marketing and customer development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
