The HR Business Control Officer role is responsible for keeping the delivery of HR products & services in line with the legal, regulatory and internal policy framework of Citi. The role accomplishes results in close collaboration with the local and regional Human Resources team as well as other relevant stakeholders. Deliverables of this role are to provide specialist advice and operationalisation of a range of core operational processes.

For these purposes, it integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a variety of specialities of the HR function. The role contributes to standards around which others will operate. It requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate, especially at the interface of the HR function with the Shared Services Organisation. It operationalizes tasks and contributes to the objectives of both functions and has regular contact to external vendors, such as benefit providers, tax consultants, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of global/local priorities and processes in line with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support the implementation of regional initiatives and processes to enhance governance of certain legal vehicles in Europe.
  • Manage GRC/HR risk reporting, partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Initiate and manage implementation of enhancements pertaining HR tools & procedures, advise HR Generalists and other stakeholders accordingly
  • Manage delivery of internal and external audits, co-ordinate follow-ups
  • Transform raw data into useful metrics and reportable information for senior leadership.
  • Perform quality assurance over issues being reported in operational control decks.
  • Keeps abreast of the organization’s operational processes and best practices for business strategy.
  • Build partnerships with supported Lines of Businesses Operations leaders, process owners, client experience leaders, control leaders, and Training, so that efforts are aligned with strategy and department efforts, regular two-way communication exists, downstream impacts are considered and business solutions are optimized.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • 7+ years of function specific experience
  • 7+ years of HR/HRSS transaction services knowledge gained in large corporations
  • Working knowledge of HR roles and processes of global corporates
  • Languages: German and English, written/spoken
  • Number-driven/analytical
  • Attention to detail
  • Team-worker
  • Eager to learn, genuine interest to advance in its field
  • To be considered as candidate, you should have gained significant experience in at least 3 of the following domains: employment law, payroll, accounting, social security & wage tax, business process design & control, outsourcing management


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
