About The Position

Our Corporate Quality department is expanding and opening up an opportunity to drive the strategic direction, coaching and global leadership for the implementation of Kongsberg Automotive Lean Enterprise programs and Continuous Improvement efforts. This key position is reporting to the Executive Vice President Quality, working in a matrix organization collaborating with the Business Unit CI Directors and shall be based in Zurich (Switzerland), Hallbergmoos (Germany) or any other suitable European Kongsberg Automotive site.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and deploy a globally connected Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement / World Class Manufacturing strategy. Facilitate the KA Lean initiative and Continuous Improvement strategy across all divisions and functions.
  • Support effective and consistent policy deployment implementation.
  • Support executive leadership and management as a Lean Sensei in the development, planning and execution of a Lean enterprise transformation strategy and supporting metrics.
  • Coach leadership at all levels through the Lean Manufacturing / World Class Manufacturing implementation strategy focused on delivering business results and building competency in Lean methods e.g. 5S, visual controls, standardized work, VSM and A3, Heijunka, Jidoka, Kaizen, SMED; facilitate large-scale, cross-functional kaizen events.
  • Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of Lean tools and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Develop appropriate dashboards and influence cross functional team members to meet aggressive DFM and Lean Program and business targets.
  • Mentor Engineering and Manufacturing Project Leaders and cross functional team members; develop common understanding of relevant concepts and available tools. Drive consistency across Products and Programs.
  • Assist with the Continuous Improvement strategy in New Product Development for select programs working with global cross-functional teams that are focused on improving customer experience in new products.
  • Drive effective on-going communications throughout the organisation on the implementation of Lean thinking to help drive culture change and advance lean competencies.
  • Develop infrastructure tools and supporting materials, including training programs and workshops to support the company’s lean initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master in a technical domain and with relevant practical experience
  • 8-10 year´s experience within Continuous Improvement, preferably in automotive or aerospace industry
  • Qualifications and strong experience on VAVE, Lean Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma, World Class Manufacturing
  • Excellent Communication and English skills; other languages a plus
  • Result and solution oriented and strong problem-solving skills
  • Proven record of successful cross-functional collaboration
