The Head of Key Account leads the DACH on- and offline Key Account Team. The job holder is part of the pet specialty retail (PSR) lead team and is responsible for all key accounts, system partners, wholesalers, online and offline. The job holder is playing a crucial role in customer facing as well as being internally a key player.

What are we looking for?
  • Masters degree, ideally in economics
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in sales of FMCG, 2-3 years experience of line management
  • Customer centricity and negotiation skills
  • Teamwork and assertiveness
  • High performance and resilience
  • Negotiation training and GS1 certification (CM knowledge) an advantage
  • Dealing with senior management / management / top contacts
  • Analytical skills and structured way of working
  • Language skills: fluent in English and German is a must have
What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Define and ensure the account specific goals in line with the corporate goals
  • Development of the sales strategy
  • Ensuring customer relationship within the agreed goals
  • Improving customer relationships through joint business planning,
  • Foster personal top contacts with the most important customers (Fressnapf, Futterhaus, Zooroyal, Qualipet) as well as management and owner contacts of the most important key accounts
  • Leadership and further development of the account team, development of training plans as well as regular feedback and coaching discussions
  • Responsibility for the terms system and its further development
  • Ensuring the conversion to a best in class key account and direct delivery organization
  • Active contribution in the SPT lead team and further development of the SPT strategy together with the SPT lead team
  • Responsibility for compliance with legal and international regulations (compliance)
  • Intensive collaboration with the marketing manager, Sales Acceleration team and Regional´s in order to enable perfect execution of our priorities (promotion plan, account field KPIs,…)
  • Preparation of the operating plan and support of the sales and marketing director in the overall budget planning SPT
  • Ensuring an omnichannel success, defining a winning strategy for locoal omni- and e-commerce
